How Velcro Patches Stick to Our Headliners

Velcro patches are a popular way to add personality and customization to your vehicle, and they are especially popular with overlanders, military personnel, and national park enthusiasts. These patches can be attached to a wide range of surfaces, including bags, jackets, and even headliners. In this blog, we will discuss how Velcro patches can stick to our headliners and why they are a great addition to any Jeep or vehicle.

How Velcro Works

Firstly, it is important to understand how Velcro works. Velcro is a brand name for hook-and-loop fasteners, which consist of two components: the hook side and the loop side. The hook side features tiny hooks that can latch onto the loops on the loop side, creating a secure closure. When applied correctly, Velcro can create a strong bond that will hold patches in place.

High-Quality Headliners

At Hothead Headliners, our headliners are made from high-quality headliner fabric that is specially designed to work well with Velcro. The fabric is soft to the touch and has a slightly textured surface that provides a good grip for the hook side of the Velcro. When you attach a patch to our headliner using Velcro, you can be confident that it will stay in place even during off-road adventures.

Flexibility and Functionality

One of the benefits of using Velcro patches on our headliners is that they are easy to attach and remove. You can switch out patches depending on your mood, the season, or your destination. This flexibility allows you to create a unique look for your Jeep that reflects your personality and interests.

In addition to their aesthetic appeal, Velcro patches can also serve a functional purpose. For example, military personnel often use patches to identify their unit or rank, while overlanders may use patches to show the national parks they have visited or the off-road trails they have conquered. Patches can also be used to support a cause or raise awareness for an issue that is important to you.

Tips for Applying Velcro Patches

To ensure that your Velcro patches stick well to our headliners, there are a few tips that you should keep in mind. Firstly, you should also make sure that the Velcro is securely attached to the back of your patch. If the Velcro is loose or detached from the patch, it will not stick well to the headliner. Use a strong adhesive, such as super glue or fabric glue, to ensure that the Velcro stays in place on the patch.

Finally, it is important to choose the right type of Velcro for your patches. There are different strengths and styles of Velcro available, so you should choose one that is appropriate for the size and weight of your patches. For smaller, lightweight patches, a standard hook-and-loop fastener will work well, while larger or heavier patches may require a stronger adhesive or a heavy-duty Velcro fastener.

Conclusion

In conclusion, Velcro patches are a great way to customize and personalize your Jeep or vehicle, and they can be easily attached to our headliners. Our headliners are made from a high-quality foam that is designed to work well with Velcro, providing a strong bond that will hold your patches in place. Whether you are a military veteran, an overlander, or a national park enthusiast, Velcro patches are a fun and functional way to express your interests and add personality to your ride.

  • I just installed my hot headliner yesterday. What an amazing difference. I live in Florida and the temperature was about 97 yesterday. I have a sky one touch. The bars are usually on fire. This headliner makes all the difference in the world. I didn’t believe it when I bought it but what a difference. After driving it for a little while. I noticed the noise difference also but if you live in a warm climate, this is a must have great great product.
