Our Gladiator soft top headliners are made using a high quality marine fabric for the outer layer, radiant barrier foil as the middle layer and standard headliner fabric for the inner layer. They will significantly reduce heat & cold from passing through your soft top, keeping the interior of your Gladiator much more comfortable. They also reduce the noise level by absorbing the sound bouncing around and blocking wind noise from your soft top. These headliners install easily in 10-15 mins (see install video below).

Preface: I've owned my old TJ since 2009 and she has undergone many transformations in that time. Perhaps its my age, but road noise and cold weather has been more annoying than it used to be. That said, I knew the solution for the body tub was to insulate. I thought I was out of luck as far as wind and thermal insulation for my soft top. For once I was happy to be wrong. I heard about Hothead Headliners on one of the Jeep forums so I looked them up. I liked what I saw but waffled about the price. At the time, I had literally every console, seat, nut, bolt, and piece of carpet of the old TJ. I did not use the "Sound Assassin" product but something similar as a base layer for sound deadening. I decided to take a chance and see if the headliner would add just that bit of extra insulation above my head since I was replacing the softtop and header bar anyway. I am very glad I did because all told the combination transformed my ride. Unboxing: The product came well packed, and quality was evident right out of the box. The grommets and stitching are solid all around, this is not some thrown together Chinese product marketed on Amazon. No, this thing is obviously designed by and used by people who know Jeep soft tops. I can't speak to the hardtop headliners but i'd bet money they are very good as well. Installation: I ended up missing a key piece to complete my installation. There is a 1"x30" continuous piece of male velcro (hook and loop) that attaches to the windshield header of the TJ. (It is very important to use the adhesion promoter so this stays in place just fyi). Well that velcro was left out of my shipment by accident. Not a big deal, trip to home depot and I was able to finish. Attached are a few photos of the underside as well as one unboxing photo of package contents. Customer Service: AMAZING! I texted/emailed Hothead Headliners about the missing piece and they were going to ship me the Velcro. As with most DIY Jeep guys, I am impatient and unwilling to let my Jeep sit waiting on parts when I can avoid it. So I let them know I had solved the issue and sent them a copy of my receipt and asked if they could just pay me back the $24 for the Velcro or whatever. Instead, they refunded me $29.95 which is the price they charge for a replacement piece of the same Velcro. I honestly expected some pushback as they already had my money and it was my impatience that resulted in the extra expense on my part. The honest and transparent way this was handled cemented this company's reputation for me. I will buy from them again in the future! Results: I am blown away that I waited so long to insulate my Jeep. Its like a different vehicle. I also insulated under the hood and in the engine well as much as I possibly could and addressed rust, paint, fading, cracked, etc wear and tear on each piece as I went through. It took me about 10 days in all but the results are truly impressive. If you are thinking of getting a headliner, I strongly suggest also doing the body tub and adding a hood liner.
